INTEGRATING BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH TO SAVE TREES
These illustrations were commissioned by Morton Arboretum for an NSF grant proposal. Their proposed TREETIME institute would integrate of different disciplines of biological research to create more effective, holistic conservation strategies. On a spatial scale, trees are studied at molecular, tissue, forest, and ecosystem levels, as well as in interspecies interactions. On a temporal scale, trees are studied in moments to eons. Studying trees and resilient species may help us better manage forests and urban landscapes in a changing climate.

Here’s a few other graphics I created to support their branding and research.
